MamaTastes is a digital marketplace that connects customers with local home chefs who prepare and deliver authentic, home-cooked meals. Our platform facilitates:
- Discovery of local chefs and their meal offerings
- Order placement and payment processing
- Delivery coordination and tracking
- Communication between customers and chefs
- Rating and review systems
Note: MamaTastes acts as an intermediary platform and is not responsible for the actual preparation or delivery of meals.
User Accounts
Account Creation
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- One person may not maintain multiple accounts
Account Responsibilities
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Update your information when it changes
- You are liable for all activities under your account
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
- Transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

Chef Obligations
If you operate as a chef on our platform, you must:
Food Safety & Compliance
- Maintain all required food handling licenses and permits
- Follow local health department regulations
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards
- Accurately represent ingredients and allergens
Service Standards
- Prepare meals as described in your listings
- Meet agreed-upon delivery times
- Maintain professional communication with customers
- Honor pricing and availability as posted
Legal Requirements
- Operate legally in your jurisdiction
- Pay all applicable taxes
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
- Comply with employment laws if you have staff
Payment Terms
Customer Payments
- Payment is due at the time of order placement
- We accept major credit cards and digital payment methods
- All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified
- You authorize us to charge your payment method
Chef Payments
- Chefs receive payment after successful order completion
- MamaTastes retains a service fee from each transaction
- Payments are processed weekly to chef accounts
- Tax reporting is the chef's responsibility
Service Fees
- Platform service fees are clearly disclosed
- Delivery fees may apply based on distance
- Payment processing fees are included in service fees
- Fees are subject to change with notice
Cancellation & Refunds
Customer Cancellations
- Orders can be cancelled within 30 minutes of placement
- Cancellations after meal preparation begins may incur fees
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method
- Refund processing may take 3-5 business days
Chef Cancellations
- Chefs must provide reasonable notice for cancellations
- Customers receive full refunds for chef-initiated cancellations
- Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension
Quality Issues
- Report quality issues within 24 hours of delivery
- We investigate all quality complaints
- Refunds or credits may be issued for verified issues
- Repeated quality issues may result in chef removal
Intellectual Property
The MamaTastes platform and its content are protected by intellectual property laws:
- MamaTastes owns all platform technology and design
- Users retain rights to their original content
- By posting content, you grant us a license to use it
- You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others
Limitation of Liability

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific transaction in question.
